I had an accident today. I lost control of my bike and felt down with Lydia near Pusat Bahasa UKM. A lot of girls near the bus stop stood up and ... simply watched. When I fell, three things popped into my mind.
1. Stupid bike!
2. Shit, how's Lydia?
3. Air Asia tickets - need to change date
After I reached Education Faculty, then I had the time to examine my injury.Yeap, it hurts like hell. I just had my bath just now and I dread for another. The picture was taken seven hours after the accident. I wish the wound would dry up quickly.
The nurse at Pusat Kesihatan UKM asked me, "Adik, dah phobia naik motosikal?" Pondering on the question, I realize the answer is a definitely - no, no phobia at all. I still like the rush of winds on my face while driving bike and the easy control of a bike.
What a day!

According to research, I am officially fat!
Currently, there is a free fitness test held in Education Faculty UKM. As usual, not wanting to miss anything that is free for all, I decided to sign up for it. So at 3pm, I arrived at the gym and started first by measuring my fat body.
Using a fat calliper, a lady pinched me as hard as possible and use the calliper to measure the amount of my fat. It was a bit painful but I do realize that my waist does seem to have a bundle of fat...
The Fat Calliper
After the pinching session, I proceed to the questionnaire answering. I have to admit here that I wasn't answering it truthfully. Some I simply fill in because I was too excited to know how I fair in the measurement. It's the numbers that concerns me.
I finished the questionnaire in record time. After I handed it in, I was instructed to wear an electronic device at my chest to count my heart rate as well as a watch to show my heart rate. It's kinda cool. It's interesting to see my heart rate fall and rise. As a matter of fact, I am thinking right now to get one..just for fun. Anyway, I was then taught how to do the step test after 3 minutes of rest to know my resting heart rate.
The speed of the step test is 88 beats per minute. I was told to do it for 3 minutes. Quite easy - I thought. It turned out to be wrong. 30 seconds before it ended, I was breathing heavily and wasn't following the beat correctly. My right leg was so tired that every new steps take a great effort. My resting heart rate is 78 beats per minute but when I was finished, it was 185 beats per minute. After 15 seconds recovery, it still stayed at 181 beats per minute. Not good for my fitness/aerobic capacity. :-(
After the step test, it was the end of the fitness test. I was shown of my result, which was truly shocking.
My BMI is 20.93, therefore it's normal. My fitness is only on fair level (there are not fair, fair, good, excellent, very excellent). My waist-to-hip grith ratio is at a dangerous level, my result has shown that I have A VERY HIGH RISK of diseases such as hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, endometrial cancer, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis (whatever these mean lah...)
However, the lady was more surprised with my body fat percentage value. Apparently, it shows that I am fat. In sequence, body fat percentage is like this - leanest, lean, leaner than average, average, fat, very fat. So, when my result shows that I am fat, it is shocking. Surprising. Appalling.
This picture shows a very fat man. Meanwhile, I am not fat, or so I thought. I have always see myself as an average size. The test begs to differ though. The lady who measured me did not believe the result and asked to measure my body fat once more. Just like her, I choose not to believe that I am fat and that there was so mistake in the measurement, so I agree to be pinched painfully again for the second time.
The second time measurement, I am still fat. Yeap, still, definitely fat. The lady looked at me (with sympathy eyes?) and kept saying, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I felt like receiving a terrible new in the hospital. It felt like she was saying, "I'm sorry Miss Lee, but it seems like you only have 2 weeks to live. I am so sorry. Sorry. Sorry."
I need to lose weight, exercise, and take good care of my life. There is still so much in my life that I haven't explore. Hmmm...kennysia.com did introduce a slimming tea...

Life and Death Experience
I was groping around for something to hold but there was none. My breath tank was depleting fast. I began to panic and I struggled harder to stand but failed. My feet were unable to touch the ground. Death hit my thought. I'm too young to die - I screamed silently. Suddenly, my feet touched the ground, and I quickly stood up straight. My face resurfaced from the pool water and I was able to breath the glorious air!!
That is how I learn how to float in my first swimming lesson class. I am still not able to swim...yet. I enjoy the class a lot, except when I can't stand when I wanted to. I guess I am just not graceful enough in water. I kept kicking at the water, but when I stood up, I was still at the same spot. I see myself as a floater expert - a floater, but definitely not a swimmer. Try to imagine, how many of us, when they kicked in the water, can still remain at the same place, unmoved? A feat I believe will remain unchallenged for a long long time... Huh, I am truly an expert floater.
But I don't intend to stay a floater for long. Hopefully, by the second and third class, I would be able to make breaststroke. It's a good exercise as well - swimming. After Chinese New Year, I have gain all those unnecessary fat around my waist. Time to lose it all...

17 February 2008
On 17 February 2008, me, Lyd, Hakim and Mul rented a car and wnet to LCCT to fetch Maria who had just touched down from Kuching. We had done this car renting business several times while we are studying in Ukm and all the experiences are truly memorable. This time is no exceptional from gaining more experiences.
First, we went for schools hunting. We were posted to different schools for our practicum so we would like to visit the schools earlier, just to get to know where it is and how is the environment. We found Mul's school - SMK Cheras Jaya (correct ka?), Lyd and Maria's school - SMK Tasek Permai and my school - SMK Bandar Baru Ampang.
Then we went to TV3 Sri Pentas. I learnt that the rules there are so strict that most of the employers are unable to drive their own cars to work as no parking space is provided for them. Only certain cars can enter the building. Hakim went there to ask about tickets (I am actually still not sure what ticket and why) but since it was a Sunday, the person in charge was absent, so we left, not before taking a few pictures though.
After dinner at Burger King Wang Utama, we were at lost where else to go. But Hakim and Mul came to the resuce. They knew that something was on at Istana Budaya. Therefore, we decided to go there. It is a concert and it is an amazing concert.
The performers are...
After the performances, we get to take pictures with some celebrities.
To end it all up, we were standing at the grand staircase of the Istana Budaya.
Then it's back to UKM. It's time to return the car. But the night is still early, so we go Fariz for late supper.
Life in UKM - it will be interesting and memorable if you make it so.

My Third Blog!
This is my third blog!
Yeah, keep changing address for my blog is definitely not good. Especially when a friend just told me that he bookmarks his friends' blog address (including me, of course!) in his laptop. Sweet of him :-)
You see, I used to have meifon.blogspot.com, and then I forgotten all about it. Then a month ago, I suddenly desire to blog, so I opened up an account using my yahoo email and leemeifon.blogspot.com was born.
A few hours ago, I tried to log in into leemeifon.blogspot.com. Surprisingly, blogger.com changes all their members' accounts to gmail. This causes difficulty as blogger.com cannot detect my blog. Although I type in my username as MeiFon, it's my old, first, useless blog address that pop up. There is absolutely no way for me to access my leemeifon.blogspot.com
Haih...so here I am again, with my third blog. Haih...
